She smiles, she laughs, she plays, but she is an orphan, HIV positive and just coming out of a bout of TB. The girl in this photo is called Pheni whose remaining parent, her mother died in woo6 leaving her under the care of her 17 year old brother in the Kibera slums.

Like many that NEPHAK meets in their day to day interaction with the PLHA community she needs help to get education, food and even shelter.

A dollar can buy her a days meal. And another dollar can buy her a pair of sandals, yet another dola can ensure her transport to the nearest clinic for her drugs and TB check up.
